Overview
Close100 is a browser-based daily game. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect and how it is used.
Local Storage
Close100 uses your browser's localStorage to save your game progress locally on your device. This includes:
- Your guess history for each daily puzzle
- Your total scores per day
- Whether you've completed a specific date's puzzle
- Your sound preference (muted or unmuted)
This data stays on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers unless you create an account (see below).
Accounts & Cloud Saves (Future)
We plan to offer optional accounts powered by Supabase that will allow syncing your progress across devices. If you create an account, the following data may be stored on our servers:
- Email address (for authentication)
- Game progress and scores
- Account preferences
Account creation will always be optional. Guest play (local only) will remain available indefinitely.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Plausible Analytics or similar) to understand overall game popularity. These tools do not use cookies and do not collect personal information.
Advertising (Future)
Close100 may display unobtrusive advertisements in the future to support development. If advertising is introduced, we will update this policy to explain what data may be shared with ad partners and how to opt out.
Cookies
Currently, Close100 does not use cookies. If this changes, you will be notified via a cookie consent banner.
Third-Party Services
The game may link to Ko-fi or similar platforms for voluntary support. These third-party sites have their own privacy policies.
Your Rights
Since most data is stored locally, you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's local storage. Once account features are launched, you will be able to delete your account and all associated data.
